    Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream System Trailer Released

    The open network test begins today.

    Bandai Namco released a new system trailer for Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, introducing the game’s mechanics and features ahead of the open network test. As the first multiplayer-focused title in the series, it will feature online play with support up to 20 players. 

    As shown in the system trailer, Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream will feature 21 characters from the Sword Art Online universe, with six different classes to choose from. These characters may be enhanced by collecting and upgrading a variety of weapons and accessories. Their appearances may be customized with cosmetics and decorations. The game will include a single-player Story mode with an all-new scenario as well.

    The Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream open network test will be held from September 20 to September 22. It will feature co-op mode and nine playable characters: Kirito, Asuna, Agil, Argo, LLENN, Oberon, Sinon, Fukaziroh, and Leafa. Players may challenge the Skull Reaper and Sword Golem bosses in high difficulty raids as well. 

    Here’s the schedule for the open network test:

    • Friday, September 20, 7 p.m. PDT – Saturday, September 21, 7 p.m. PDT: ONT available
    • Saturday, September 21, 7 p.m. PDT – Saturday, September 21, 11 p.m.: 4-hour Maintenance; ONT unavailable
    • Saturday, September 21, 11 p.m. PDT – Sunday, September 22, 8 p.m. PDT: ONT available

    Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream players will receive a bonus in-game costume for having save data from Sword Art Online: Fatal BulletPlayStation Plus members may catch up on the series by downloading Sword Art Online: Last Recollection, Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris and Sword Art Online: Integral Factor.

    Lastly, Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream will release on October 4 for the PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
