Indie.io has announced G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra, an arcade beat-em-up based on Hasbro’s beloved military-based toy franchise. The beat-em-up has a style similar to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. It also bears similarities to the upcoming Power Rangers beat-em-up, Rita’s Rewind.
The game will release on September 26 for PC via Steam. It will release later on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Epic Games Store and GOG. It will also be available on PS4 and Xbox One.

G.I. JOE: WRATH OF COBRA offers nostalgic action revamped for the modern era, with smooth gameplay and high replayability, all imbued in an easy-to-play, fun-to-master experience. Fight Cobra’s mightiest villains such as Cobra Commander, Storm Shadow, Destro, Zartan, and Baroness across land, air, sea, and space while visiting iconic locations like Cobra Island, the Pit, and Cobra’s top-secret underwater base.
Played solo, or couch co-op with up to four friends, G.I. JOE: WRATH OF COBRA offers players an arsenal of weapons, combo options, and special abilities to choose from as they battle through Arcade or Story mode. Offering pixel-perfect hand-drawn art and classic-style cutscenes, players fight alongside an arcade-inspired soundtrack from legendary composer Tee Lopes (Sonic Mania, TMNT Shredder’s Revenge, Streets of Rage 4 – Mr. X Nightmare DLC), and from Crush 40’s lead vocalist Johnny Gioeli (Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020).
