Capcom is currently investigating the online matchmaking issues for Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics. The matching is currently difficult in some areas, and the developers are trying to find the root of the problem. Capcom apologizes for the inconvenience as they work to resolve the issue.
In the meantime, fans can look forward to the release of the variant comic covers based on Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics in December. The comic covers feature Bengus’ original character art created for Marvel vs. Capcom 2. It will commemorate the game’s launch on September 12 and its physical release in November. The Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics variant comic covers will be available at select local and online retailers. Fans hope that the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection matchmaking issues will be addressed in time for the comic covers.
Capcom initially announced Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics during the June 2024 Nintendo Direct. The collection includes X-Men Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, and The Punisher. The games support rollback netcode, training mode, and other quality of life features.
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will continue Capcom’s fighting game resurgence in 2025 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The collection will include the following games: Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro, Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, Capcom Fighting Evolution, Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER, Project Justice, Power Stone, Power Stone 2, and Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein. Lastly, it also features rollback netcode, training mode, extended language support, and more content.
