Aniplex revealed its plans and games lineup for Tokyo Game Show 2024 and announced a new game developed with Akatsuki Games: Project HYKE. The games lineup will primarily feature Alterna Vvelt: Blue Exorcist Another Story, The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Sweep the Board!.
Tokyo Game Show 2024 attendees may visit the Aniplex booth to play demos of unreleased and released games, including Alterna Vvelt: Blue Exorcist Another Story and Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra. Those who try out the demos can receive physical items themed after each game, including illustration cards, stickers, and masks. Moreover, Aniplex will host an official Tokyo Game Show 2024 livestream on September 27 from 18:00 to 18:50 JST.
Although it won’t feature at Tokyo Game Show, Aniplex also announced Project HYKE, a new game project from Akatsuki Games. The story description reads, “The girl goes on a Journey. Following in her mother’s footsteps who ruined the world…” In addition, Aniplex confirms orie is the character designer, and Hiroaki Iwano is the game’s producer.
Aniplex, Too Kyo Games, and Media.Vision’s strategy RPG The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy will launch on April 24, 2025 for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in Japan. An English release is planned for early 2025.
Alterna Vvelt: Blue Exorcist Another Story was delayed to 2025 for Android, iOS, and PC via Windows. Previously, the game was planned to release in summer 2024 in Japan, with an English release on the way.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra is coming soon to Android and iOS worldwide. Pre-registration is live in the Google Play Store.
Tokyo Game Show 2024 runs from September 26 to 29 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
