Sony Interactive Entertainment announced the PS5 Technical Presentation, hosted by lead architect Mark Cerny, will be held on September 10 at 8:00 a.m. PT / 11:00 a.m. ET. The broadcast will be nine minutes long, and it will be held on PlayStation’s official YouTube channel.
According to PlayStation Blog, the PS5 Technical presentation will “focus on PS5 and innovations in gaming technology.” Rumors and speculations suggest the PlayStation 5 Pro will finally be revealed this month, so this presentation could bring a first look into the expected mid-generation refresh.
Update: As spotted by Wario64, an unlisted video for the technical presentation reads “PS5 Pro,” practically confirming the console’s appearance. It has since been changed to simply “PlayStation 5 technical presentation.”

The PlayStation Blog post also notes that the streamers are welcomed to co-stream the upcoming event. However, the broadcast may included copyrighted content, such as licensed music. If the PlayStation 5 Pro is revealed, we can expect a game or two that will be highlighted with the console’s enhanced capabilities.
“Please note that this broadcast may include copyrighted content (e.g. licensed music) that PlayStation does not control,” PlayStation Blog reads. “We welcome and celebrate our amazing co-streamers and creators, but licensing agreements outside our control could interfere with co-streams or VOD archives of this broadcast. If you’re planning to save this broadcast as a VOD to create recap videos, or to repost clips or segments from the show, we advise omitting any copyrighted music.”
