Tonbo Season 2 Airing on October 5

The staff for the upcoming season 2 of Tonbo has confirmed that it will air on October 5. They’ve also revealed more cast and staff for the series. Rika Hayashi will play Oi, Eri Kitamura will play Tsubura Adaniya, Yui Ishikawa will play Hinoki Otoha, Marina Inoue will play Emi Kurisu, Eiji Hanawa will play Hajime Udo, and Sanae Kobayashi will play Shima-san.

The Japanese pop duo Sacra e sole performs the second season’s opening theme song “Seven pieces.” The jazz-funk trio TOKYO GROOVE JYOSHI performs the second season’s ending theme song “It’s time to win.”

Ken Kawasaki initially wrote Tonbo in 2014. The series’ illustrator is Yū Furusawa. Golf Digest has been publishing the series ever since. The anime’s first season premiered on April 6. It is available to watch now on Amazon Prime Video. They describe the anime as follows:

A dramatic tale of golf and humans, set on the beautiful Tokara Islands. Igarashi has thrown away his past and fled society, relocating to Hinoshima Island. Here, on “Japan’s last hidden paradise,” he meets Tonbo, the island’s only middle schooler. To his surprise, this girl harbors an extraordinary talent for golf!?
