GKIDS has released a new trailer for the upcoming theatrical screenings for the first three episodes of Dandadan. DAN DA DAN: First Encounter will premiere in Asia on August 31, in Europe on September 7, and in North America in September 13.
Yukinobu Tatsu initially began writing the Dandadan series in 2021. The action and romance-comedy manga series is still ongoing in Shonen Jump+. Thus far, 12 volumes have been published to date in Japan. Fans may look forward to the new anime adaptation when 2024’s Halloween season gets underway.
Dandadan Releases English Subbed Trailer for Theatrical Debut
A recent trailer for Dandadan‘s upcoming theatrical debut showcases more of the series’ story, action, and characters. The first three episodes will premiere in theaters as DAN DA DAN: First Encounter. It will air in Asia on August 31, in Europe on September 7, and in North America in September 13. The anime will later be available on Netflix in October.

“A nerd must fight powerful spirits and aliens all vying for the secret power of his ‘family jewel,’ so who better to fight alongside him than his high school crush and a spirit granny?!”
“Momo Ayase strikes up an unusual friendship with her school’s UFO fanatic, whom she nicknames ‘Okarun’ because he has a name that is not to be said aloud. While Momo believes in spirits, she thinks aliens are nothing but nonsense. Her new friend, however, thinks quite the opposite.

The upcoming anime adaptation of Dandadan will be available on Netflix, Crunchyroll, and TBS/MBS in October 2024. Additionally, the first three episodes will debut in theaters in August and September around the world.
