Konami announced that Silent Hill: The Short Message surpassed three million downloads worldwide on PlayStation 5. This milestone was achieved in nearly six months after the game’s release for free in the PlayStation Store on January 31.
The official Silent Hill Twitter account released a new graphic to commemorate Silent Hill: The Short Message reaching three million downloads worldwide. Thus far, there’s no indication that the game will come to other platforms, but it would surely help toward the game’s next download milestones.
The Bloober Team-developed Silent Hill 2 remake is the next release in the horror series on October 8 for PlayStation 5 and PC. Unlike the original Silent Hill 2, the remake takes a more combat-oriented approach to gameplay.
