The Behemoth announced that BattleBlock Theater is coming soon to consoles, nearly a decade after the game’s original launch. In addition, a major quality of life update is coming to the PC (Steam) version, giving fans a sneak peek of the console release.
The free BattleBlock Theater update on Steam will introduce enhanced rendering, higher frame rate support, higher audio bitrates, various bug fixes, and improved controller support. As a result, the game should be even better to play on modern PC setups, thanks to higher resolution and frame rate support.

The Behemoth also announced that both Alien Hominid HD and Alien Hominid Invasion are set to make the jump to PlayStation in the future. This announcement was made as part of The Behemoth’s roadmap trailer, which also revealed that Castle Crashers is getting paid DLC. The hit beat ’em up is set to receive a new DLC titled Castle Crashers Painter Boss Paradise. This new DLC will be available on PC via Steam.
