Nihon Falcom revealed new details and screenshots for the Grim Garten content found in The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki -Farewell, O Zemuria-. The Grim Garten is an altered version of the Marchen Garten that has been taken over by Ouroboros.
In the Grim Garten, players must enter a massive castle and capture each area. Avatars are placed on the stage that represent party members. Similarly to chess, players must capture the area by moving the avatars forward in every turn. Defeating the Guardian at the end of the stage will result in the area being captured and expanded. Various services are made accessible in the Grim Garten as well.
Similarly to the True Reverie Corridor from The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie, more party members will be able to access the Grim Garten as more progress is made in The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki -Farewell, O Zemuria-. Players may obtain Grim Tokens while playing in the Grim Garten. These tokens may be used to decipher grimoires and obtain useful materials like Sepith, Holo Cores, Quartz, and accessories.
Players will experience dialogue events between characters from different parties and organizations. Members of Ouroboros will also interfere with your party members. However, this is beneficial, since more truths and insight into the organization will be revealed.
The Pedestal of Reminiscence returns, allowing players to view past events that happened in the continent of Zemuria. These events share more insight into character backstories, as well as the truth about Zemuria. To view these events, players must collect Memento Orbs and place them in the Pedestal of Reminiscence.
