College Football 25 Reveals Team Builder Beta, Releasing Later Today

Create your team - your way.

Ahead of tonight’s College Football 25 release, EA has taken to the blog to release all kinds of information regarding Team Builder. Initially introduced in 2009, Team Builder allows for players to create custom teams with unique names, uniforms, logos, stadiums, and more. This iteration of the feature is set to be its biggest yet.

Team Builder looks incredibly extensive, with the ability to upload custom logos and create up to five uniforms for your team to wear. You can give your team any of the 134 playbooks that are unique to each FBS team, alongside a defensive scheme to reflect how your defense will operate. Everything will be created through the online web portal and synced with your game on PS5 or Xbox Series X. This allows for files to be uploaded and uniforms to be tweaked in many more ways than if it were strictly on the console.

Speaking on the three core goal pillars of the mode, EA said the following:

“Our approach to Team Builder centered around three core pillars. First it was about creating a Deep Creation Suite where our players felt a strong sense of ownership and were empowered to create and customize their schools more than ever before. Our second pillar was Discover & Share, which was about making it easy to discover great content and content creators, as well as providing the ability to share your creations with others. Finally, our third pillar was about Elevating Creators where we wanted to celebrate creators for their creative accomplishments.”

Of course, you will also be able to download other player’s creations. The EA team plans to keep this updated periodically, with categories such as schools, playbooks, sliders, and more able to be shared with others. You can read up on everything the new mode has to offer here, with the College Football 25 Team Builder website live right here.

EA Sports College Football 25 is set to launch on July 19 across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Early access is available now.
