During Anime Expo 2024, Studio Trigger revealed a new key visual for the upcoming Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt anime revival. Hiroyuki Imaishi returns as director of the new anime alongside other key staff members.

At Anime NYC 2023, Studio Trigger confirmed that Sushio and Mai Yoneyama will be returning to work on the new Panty & Stocking anime series. Yoneyama worked as a key animator on the previous Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt anime, marking her debut as a key animator. Sushio will work on the new project as an animator. He had worked as an animation director and key animator on the original show.
