Strange Scaffold & Outersloth Announce CLICKOLDING

    Click.

Strange Scaffold, developers of El PasoElsewhere, and Life Eater, have announced their next title in collaboration with indie fund Outersloth this morning, CLICKOLDING. This narrative title focuses on keeping a tally counter as you face a masked man sitting in a chair in your hotel room.

Players will be able to manage their relationship with the mysterious man by simply clicking, which will reveal an interesting story. The game features environmental puzzles and a soundtrack from award-winning composer RJ Lake. Take a look at the reveal trailer below:

Strange Scaffold studio head Xalavier Nelson Jr. said the following on this reveal: “We exist in a time where it’s hard for a game to be allowed to exist if it doesn’t fit into a clear genre or audience demographic. With the support of Outersloth, and a track record for delivering games that don’t take the easy joke but instead use any topic as an opportunity to deliver a deeper experience, I want to make another project that challenges this environment. Another project that says video games should still step into new, uncomfortable, and undeniably compelling spaces.”

Outersloth is a brand-new indie fund created by Innersloth, the team behind Among Us. As announced at Summer Game Fest 2024, the team looks to fund indie developers so they can create the games they want without compromise. You can learn more about Outersloth’s mission here.

CLICKOLDING will release on July 16, 2024, for PC via Steam. Stay tuned to Strange Scaffold’s Twitter for more details as we head closer to launch.
