Capcom has announced the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, a remake of the original Dead Rising. The game will release on next-gen consoles at some point in the future.
Dead Rising initially released in 2006 on the Xbox 360. The game would later release on all modern consoles, including the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, in 2016. Over the years, the franchise would receive several sequels and cameo appearances in games like Marvel vs. Capcom. The most recent entry in the series, Dead Rising 4, received divisive reviews from fans and critics alike. Only time will tell how the remake will capture the original game’s spirit.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Revealed, Releasing on “Newest Generation of Platforms”
In a surprise reveal, Capcom has announced the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. The game will release on the “newest generation of consoles,” which will likely include the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It is currently unknown how much of the original game will be changed in the remake.
The visuals look startlingly different compared to the original Dead Rising. Further, it appears that T.J. Rotolo will not be returning as the voice of Dead Rising‘s protagonist, Frank West. Capcom will reveal more details about the upcoming release in the future. Check out the first teaser trailer below:
