Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail Version 7.0 Patch Notes Released

Square Enix have released the preliminary patch notes for Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail Version 7.0, which describes the first graphical update for the game. The update also grants early access to the Dawntrail expansion, allowing players to venture into Tural and begin their new journey before the official July 2 launch. 

The Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail Version 7.0 patch notes go into great detail about changes, updates, and new additions regarding jobs, skills, the Gold Saucer, character creation, Fates, Treasure Hunts, PvP, and so much more. Full patch notes may be found here, but we’ve broken down some of the key elements of Version 7.0: 

  • First graphical update
    • Improvements to screen-wide aesthetic appeal, high resolution textures, improved material quality, shadows and foliage
    • Designed to improve while preserving the look of Final Fantasy XIV
  • Dawntrail content, including the continent of Tural and its many locations
  • Female Hrothgar race, new hairstyles, and more added to character customization/creation
  • Level cap increase to 100 increase, including Crafter and Gatherer classes
  • New skills for all Jobs
  • New DPS jobs: Viper and Pictomancer
  • New role and job quests
  • Core battle content
    • Fates, The Hunt, Treasure Hunts, side quests, etc.
  • New dungeons (Normal and Hard)
  • New gear and recipes
  • Wachumeqimeqi Deliveries
  • Trust system updates
  • Gold Saucer updates and new prizes
  • Furnishing limit increase

Two weeks later, the Arcadion 8-player raid will become available in Patch 7.01 on July 16. On July 30, Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.05 introduces the Savage version of The Arcadion, Cenote Ja Ja Gural, Allagan tomestones of heliometry (end-game currency), and new Master Recipes and crafted gear.

Final Fantasy XIV is now available across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Lastly, the Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail expansion launches on July 2, with early access beginning on June 28
