TV Asahi has revealed that BLUELOCK season 2 will premiere on October 5. Additionally, they also confirmed two new cast members for the series.
Kodansha initially began serializing BLUELOCK in 2018. Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yūsuke Nomura’s series focuses on the Japanese Football (Soccer) Team trying to become the best in the world after finishing sixteenth in the 2018 World Cup. The anime adaptation is available on Crunchyroll, and the manga is available on Kodansha’s website. Further, a movie based on the series recently premiered in theaters, with the movie coming to the West in June.
BLUELOCK Season 2 Confirms Premiere Date and New Cast Members
TV Asahi has confirmed two new cast members joining BLUELOCK‘s second season. Satoshi Hino will play Oliver Aiku while Akihisa Wakayama will play Shūto Sendō. Additionally, they also confirmed that the season will air on October 5 on their new programming block, known as IM Animation. While the Western distributor for Season 2 is unknown, it will likely be available on Crunchyroll alongside its prior seasons.
