Sonic Central Showcase Not Planned for June 2024

The possibility remains for a showcase at a later date.

SEGA announced that a Sonic Central showcase is not planned for June 2024. According to Sonic the Hedgehog social media and community manager Katie Chrzanowski, there’s no news on when the next Sonic Central showcase will come, but she encourages fans to keep checking SEGA’s official channels in the future.

“I see a lot of people asking about Sonic Central… just because there’s not one happening today – and I will say there’s not one happening this month – doesn’t mean that there’s never going to be one again,” Chrzanowski said in the Sonic Birthday special on YouTube. “We don’t have news on when a Sonic Central is going to be, but we have not forgotten about them. So don’t worry, keep checking the official channels for any news on a future Sonic Central.”

In the meantime, fans may play new content in the third content update for Sonic Dream Team, which introduces two new acts to Sweet Dreams. The new stages bring “new takes” on missions, such as laps and a “keep off the ground” mission. Players who collect all Dream Orbs and Moons can also play an “expert-only” level called Bittersweet Way.

New Sonic Dream Team achievements and Bittersweet Way rankings are available in the latest update as well. What’s more, players may unlock collectible music tracks by finding hidden musical notes in Adventure Acts. Once unlocked, players may listen to their favorite tracks on the Jukebox.

Sonic fans may also look forward to Sonic x Shadow Generations, an enhanced remaster featuring all-new content starring Shadow the Hedgehog. Sonic x Shadows Generations will launch on October 25 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
