Yesterday, Capcom announced Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, which bundles together legendary titles like Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, and The Punisher. This release is unprecedented, as fans have been campaigning for MvC2 to be released on modern platforms for over three years with the “#FreeMVC2” campaign.
Since the official website launched, fans have discovered that HD character portrait art is now available. This art was previously incredibly hard to find since not many had preserved these portraits of the original game. You can now head over to the official Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics website and download transparent PNGs of any of the playable characters in Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes.
Holy shit, the JP site has high def transparent PNGs of every MvC2 character portrait. Can't even begin to express how thankful I am for all the art assets they've provided, MvC2 art in particular's been kinda horrifically preserved up until now pic.twitter.com/uLNsjhoSAF

MvC2 features some of the most recognizable Marvel and Capcom characters ever. A total of 56 playable characters are available, with Marvel characters like Spider-Man, Captain America, Doctor Doom, Cyclops, Wolverine, and more available. On the Capcom side, Akuma, Morrigan, Cammy, Chun-Li, Ryu, Jill Valentine, and more are included.
Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics will launch later this year across Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam. The game will retail for $49.99 MSRP, and a physical copy will be available for both Switch and PS4.
