Nintendo Direct Announced for Tuesday, June 18 at 9:00 AM CT

One of the final directs before the Switch successor arrives.

Nintendo has announced that the June Nintendo Direct will premiere this upcoming Tuesday, June 18, at 9:00 AM CT. Following weeks of never-ending rumors, we finally have a date for one of Nintendo’s most anticipated showcases yet. The presentation will be around 40 minutes long and focus on Nintendo Switch titles releasing in the second half of 2024.

With just Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD and Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition left in the 2024 Nintendo Switch release schedule, Nintendo will likely reveal most of the games that will release from August to December. Potentially, the company will even reveal games that are slated for the first quarter of 2025. The only game slated for Nintendo Switch outside of the above dated games is Metroid Prime 4, which could be released this year at last.

This Nintendo Direct is highly expected to be the last presentation solely focused on the Nintendo Switch by many. As Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa revealed in May, the successor for the Nintendo Switch will be revealed sometime within this fiscal year. However, this Nintendo Direct will feature no ties to the upcoming system. This Direct will serve as the final string of major game reveals for Switch before we start to look into the next fiscal year, which is when the Nintendo Switch successor is expected to arrive.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the new announcements for tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct.
