During today’s Day of the Devs: Summer Game Fest Edition 2024 presentation, a new game from Nano Park titled Petal Runner was showcased. The game is described as a “retro flavored, slice-of-life RPG”, with your character tasked with delivering pets to people in a city called Saphire Valley.
In this city, a company has developed devices called Leapcells that power digital pets using flowers. Petal Runners installs these devices. To install, Petal Runners plant the cell and perform a few minigames. In Petal Runner, you play as Callie. As the game unfolds, you will be able to experience her journey and interactions with many people throughout the town. Kira joins Callie on the adventure, acting as a unique pet that has quite a few quirks.
There are a total of four different districts of Saphire Valley, each with its own unique flair. The gorgeous pixel art style offers a very unique take with vibrant colors and unique character designs. Petal Runner offers motorcycles, robots, pets, flowers, and much more! Of course, the trailer ends with a fashionable Akira slide.
