SEGA and ATLUS have released a new “Daily Demon” video for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, introducing the demon Cu Chulainn. This demon was previously featured in the original Shin Megami Tensei V.
The June 3 Daily Demon video for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance introduced Scathach is a goddess and the queen of the Land of Shadows in Celtic mythology. Although she is a magician, she’s also very proficient in martial arts. Scathach became Cu Chulainn’s teacher, gifting him his magical spear, Gae Bolg.

Returning in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, Cu Chulainn is a hero of Irish legend and the son of the Sun God Lugh. He’s capable of fighting entire armies by himself. However, he was cursed to die when he refused the courtship of Morrigan, the Irish goddess of battle. He would later be impaled by his own spear passed down from Scathach.

Fans in Japan may look forward to ATLUS Fes, which will be held from June 8 to June 9 in Akihabara to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the company. The event will feature demos for both Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance and Metaphor: ReFantazio. Alongside the demos, attendees can expect merchandise sales, stage events, and exhibitions for the Persona series.
Sales of the original Shin Megami Tensei V for Nintendo Switch will cease on June 13, just one day before the launch of Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. Sales of Shin Megami Tensei V’s DLC will also cease completely in the Nintendo eShop.
Lastly, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on June 14 worldwide.
