Atomic Picnic Reveals September 2024 Early Access Launch & Playtest Available Now

    Published:

Today at OTK Games Expo, Mad Mushroom and BitCake Studio revealed that Atomic Picnic will launch in Early Access on Steam in September 2024. This follows the game’s initial reveal last December, and two playtests that followed that announcement.

In addition, the third playtest of the game is now available! You can join in and run your own Picnics by heading to the official site here. Loads of new features are available in this new playtest, including character-specific skills and stats, a new miniboss named Johnathan, a new weapon, new upgrades, animations, and more.

Atomic Picnic is an all-new co-op roguelike shooter with all kinds of fun features. The game sees four “Loners” test their might at “Picnics” to collect loot, defeat monsters, and prevail. You’ll be thrown into hectic areas with all sorts of monsters, and it’s up to you and your team to take them down and survive. You can play a Picnic Solo or squad up with up to three friends in co-op modes for four-player madness. Each run is never the same, so you must be prepared for anything in this title!

Developers of Atomic Picnic, BitCake Studio, was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This is the studio’s fourth title, with previous games including Neko Neko RampageHolodrive, and DeMagnete VR

Atomic Picnic will launch in Early Access this September on PC via Steam.
