Bliss Brain announced that Princess Maker 2 Regeneration for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 have been delayed to August 8 due to content changes. These changes “comply with ethical standards” by Sony. Fortunately, the Nintendo Switch and PC versions are unaffected.

Here’s a breakdown of the changes to  the PlayStation versions, translated by Gematsu

The PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of Princess Maker 2 Regeneration will undergo some specification changes in order to comply with ethical standards. These changes include:

  • The removal of items that increase the daughter’s bust size
  • The removal of the endings “Marriage with Father” and “Marriage with Butler.”

Due to these changes, the release date for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of the game has been moved to August 8, 2024. Bliss Brain apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

(The Switch and PC versions will not undergo any specification changes and the release date will remain unchanged.)

Princess Maker 2 Regeneration launches on July 11 for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. At launch, the game will support English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language options according to the official website.

Physical standard and limited editions will be available in Japan for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. The standard edition costs 4,400 yen, whereas the limited edition costs 8,580 yen. Limited edition contents include an illustration drawn by Takami Akai, an art book, and a five-disc soundtrack.

The original Princess Maker 2 released in 1993 for the PC-9801. Nearly a decade later, the game was improved in Princess Maker 2: Refine for PC. An enhanced version was originally scheduled to release on December 21, 2023 before subsequent delays pushed the game to May 30 and July 11 respectively.
