New Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Demons

Over 270 demons will appear in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, including new demons drawn by character designer Masayuki Doi. Three of the many new demons in the game are based on African mythology, including Onyankopon, Anansi, and Nyami Nyami.

    Onyankopon

Onyankopon (Enigma) is the sky god to the Ashanti people and other tribes in West Africa. It is one of the aliases of the supreme god Nyame, the all-knowing and all-seeing.

    Anansi

Anansi (Genma) is hero of the Ashanti and other tribes in West Africa. In the folklore, he’s known as a trickster that excels with extraordinary wit and cunning.

    Nyami Nyami

Another new demon to the series is Nyami Nyami (Dragon), the Zambezi River god of the Tonga and Lozi tribes of southern Africa. He has the body of a sanke and the head of a fish or dragon. He’s believed to protect people near the water and provide them with sustenance.

The Return of the True Demon DLC is included with Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. Completing the DLC adds Demi-fiend (Chaos) as a party member.

New Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Additions – Shakan, Estoma, and Virtual Trainer

The Canon of Vengeance story includes a new dungeon called Shakan, a sacred place and a forbidden land hidden in Shinjuku in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. The dungeon exudes a solemn atmosphere. Rotation devices and angels that guard the dungeon will stand in the way of the Nahobino.

The World of Shadows will be useful for the Nahobino as he attempts to rise to the challenge of the Shakan dungeon. Players may fuse and strengthen the protagonist’s demons by accessing the leyline fount and heading to the World of Shadows.

One of the new Miracles in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is the Support Skill: Estoma. Estoma can be activated by triggering a Magatsuhi gauge. While activated, players are undetectable by nearly all demons on the field. The demon will disappear when the player with Estoma encounters them.

While exploring the field, players may accept and complete subquests for rewards. In some subquests, players may control a demon, such as Nahobeeho. There are also timed quests were players must complete it within a certain number of moon phases. Subquests may also happen in the real Tokyo.

The Virtual Trainer is located at the Diet Building, allowing players to challenge past enemies in either a single fight or a series of continuous battles. Players can choose between “Original Mode” and “Challenge Mode.” Original Mode replicates the battle as intended, while Challenge Mode makes the player face a greatly enhanced enemy. In Challenge Mode, the level of enemies to be rematched increased by 100 per game clear.

Level Limit Break and Post-Clear Features

After fulfilling certain conditions, the new Moral Transcendence Miracle may be acquired. Once learned, the maximum level of Nahobino and his demons can be increased to 150.

After clearing the main story, players may start playing again with some of the data carried over by loading clear data. Here’s a breakdown of the options that may be selected:
