Tower of Fantasy Adding Rei from Evangelion on March 28

    Wielding her signature weapon, Salvation.

Level Infinite announced that Rei Ayanami from Neon Genesis Evangelion is coming to Tower of Fantasy as a playable character (simulacrum) on March 28. She’s the second playable character of the “Evangelion Fantasy” collaboration event following Asuka Shikinami Langley.

Tower of Fantasy Version 3.6‘s “Evangelion Fantasy” collaboration event began on March 12 featuring “a new adventure” with Shinji Ikari, Asuka Shikinami Langley, and Rei Ayanami in the Vera Sector. Players will team up with these characters to face the Angels and overcome a crisis. According to Perfect World Games, the event will re-enact classic scenes from the anime too.

Rei Ayanami Joins the Tower of Fantasy Roster

Starting March 28, Tower of Fantasy players may acquire Evangelion’s Rei Ayanami, who is a Frost-Volt simulacrum. She wields the specially-made weapon, Salvation. This weapon’s energy arrows can defeat enemies in impressive fashion. The bow was developed by the Mirroria Department of Science and Technology just for Rei.

    Watch the new trailer below:

In the Evangelion universe, Rei Ayanami is the exclusive pilot of EVA-00. Traveling from another dimension, she piloted her EVA to travel through space and time to arrive at Vera. Solitary, indifferent, and with an unusual calmness about her, Rei is largely a mystery to most she meets in battle. In the face of the Angel invasion in Vera, Rei fought side by side with Shinji, Asuka, and the people of Vera, playing a crucial role in defeating the Angels.
