SEGA and ATLUS revealed new details about Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, including characters, Qadištu demons, Skills, and so much more, In addition, the release date for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance has been moved up to June 14.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance sees the Qadištu, a group of demons led by Lilith, pursue the protagonist. As “The Oppressed,” she believes the protagonist is the Key of Resurrection. A tale of revenge begins as the Qadištu make their move in the Canon of Vengeance.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Characters
Returning from the original Shin Megami Tensei V, Tao Isonogami (VA: Jeanine Tirado) will play an important role as one of the protagonist’s supporting characters in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. She’s friendly and caring, and the Japan branch of Bethel sees her as a saint. Tao specializes in healing and support skills.

Yuzuru Atsuta (VA: Mark Whitten) is a friend of the protagonist and holds a strong sense of justice as a temporary Bethel member. With the help of the Demon Summoning Program and demon partner Hayataro, Yuzuru fights demons in order to protect his under sister Miyazu (VA: Ashlyn Madden) and strives for peace in Tokyo. Miyazu respects her older brother, but she’s often worried about him. She’s physical weak and shy, often visiting the school nurse’s office.
Ichiro Dazai (VA: Stuart Allan) is a fellow classmate of Yuzuru and the protagonist. He’s a cheerful young man, but his grades are poor. He gets dragged into Da’at with the protagonist and joins Bethel since he believes it’s a noble cause. He uses demons like Aitvaras and Mokoi as his demon partners.
Sahori Itsukishima (VA: Erica Lindbeck) is Tao’s best friend and a former member of the lacrosse club. She’s a victim of bullying, leaving her a target for the demon Lahmu.
The Demons of Qadištu
Naahmah (VA: Kari Wahlgren) is a Qadištu member and the “Mother of Demons.” She’s the most sensual and seductive of the four, using her charms on humans, angels, and demons alike. She’s joined by the third member of the Qadištu, Eisheth Zenunim (VA: Allegra Clark). Eisheth Zenunim seduces humans and leads them to their deaths. In Jewish mythology, she eats the souls of the fallen.
The fourth and final member of the Qadištu is Agrat bat Mahlat (VA: Cherami Leigh), the “Queen of Demons.” Agrat bat Mahlat is also known as”the demon who dances
on the roof.” She’s said to wander in the air with a chariot, training messengers of destruction. The Qadištu appear to be aided by Glasya-Labolas. one of the 72 demons of King Solomon’s “Ars Goetia.” Symbolizing bloodshed and murder, the griffin-winged dog can predict the future and make people invisible.
Gameplay Mechanics of Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance retains the franchise’s signature command-based Press Turn Battle. Exploiting enemy weaknesses and landing critical hits will help players gain extra turns for up to eight turns. A number of exclusive skills are available to certain demons.
The Magatsuhi gauge returns, allowing players to use a special Magatsuhi Skill once the gauge is filled. These skills have a variety of effects, and 20 new Magatsuhi Skills have been added for a total of 50 skills. Some Magatsuhi Skills may be activated when there’s a strong mythological relationship between two demons or demons with the same alignment in the party.
What’s more, every demon in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance has a passive Unique Skill. These skills may increase the power of attack skills, provide powerful effects when a certain demon is present, or provide intriguing bonuses for demon conversations.
Players may active Blessed Melody to enhance the party’s power when all allies exploit the target’s weakness with Light Skills. The new “Four Heavenly Kings” Unique Skills may be activated as well to enhance abilities.
Another Unique Skill is Demonic Mediator, which sees a partner demon intervene and mediate in a demon conversation to prevent the negotiation from going sour. This will help players have a better shot at recruiting a demon. Sometimes, a demon will surprise you with a quiz.
Human Quest Characters, Consecutive Battles, and New Screenshots
During certain points of the story, human guest characters can join the party and participate in battles. These characters may fight and use items just like demon allies, similarly to allies in Persona.
In addition, players may enter consecutive battles in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. Winning a series of battles will generate additional Macca, EXP, and items as rewards.
