Kisetsu Morita initially wrote the I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years light novel series in 2017. Yen Press has been publishing it ever since. The first season of the anime premiered in 2021. The anime’s second season will premiere approximately five years after the first season’s ending.

The official website for the beloved anime, I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level, has recently revealed that the series will be getting a second season. The season will feature new staff members: namely, Kunihisa Sugishima will take on the role of director, Teddy will animate the new season instead of Revoroot, Naohiro Fukushima will supervise the new season’s scripts, and Hikaru Kodama will be the main character designer. Further, Keiji Inai is returning to compose the music.
