Shiren the Wanderer 6 Towns Guide – General Tips

Don’t be afraid of failure! You may have to start over upon incapacitation, but many new things are unlocked by making multiple attempts and progressing further within the dungeons. Your experimentation and willpower will gain you immeasurable knowledge and practice. Remember: rise and rise again!

Take your time! This game is turn-based in a sense, as everything moves and happens in response to YOUR actions. If you’re in a tight situation, really mull over your options and brainstorm a proper plan. Read item and monster descriptions, experiment with your gear, strategically stall, flee for safety, or even take a loss if necessary. Progress is progress!

Our Shiren the Wanderer 6 Guides are here to help! They offer more in-depth information on a variety of topics.

    Shopping and Resting

One of the first things to do when getting out of the dungeon for a spell is to rest up. Many of these spots have a place to rest, or an inn if it’s a town. Inns do cost money, so be sure to keep at least SOME Gitan on you. Especially since the dungeon is relentless and will leave you battered. Rest up and fill your belly!

While you’re in town, why not peruse the stores when you can? Sometimes the dungeon is stingy and doesn’t give you anything to work with. Getting some weapons or useful items can vastly improve your run!

    Upgrade Gear with Blacksmiths

Shiren the Wanderer 6 : Blacksmith

Sometimes the dungeon gives you some great gear you want to improve, or even some not great gear that you have no choice but to improve. The point is, you need to improve your gear. Sometimes you even get lucky, as the blacksmith has a chance to increase your weapon or shield 3 levels instead of 1. Sadly, one upgrade will tucker them out. One blacksmith = one guaranteed upgrade during your run. Utilizing the upgrade scrolls and blacksmiths will maximize your gear potential!

    Eventful Story Events

As you fall in the dungeon and make it further and further you will encounter a colorful cast of characters. Keep an eye out for icons in towns and on your map. Interacting with these story NPCs will get you enjoyable scenes and sometimes new content like side areas and alternate paths.

    Warehouses, aka Life Insurance

Shiren the Wanderer 6 : Warehouse

In certain towns, there is a warehouse that you can store items in. This is very handy for subsequent runs. You can drop off good items you find in the hope of using them to have a good run in the future. There are even NPCs in the dungeon who will take items back to a warehouse. Item storage is very important for planning and preparation, so make good use of it!
