    Tips

The goal of this guide is to provide players with assistance, but I also have some tips to share so that prospective players can have as full of an experience as possible.

    • Feel free to examine things and chat up characters to your heart’s content! This will give you a fuller experience with added details.
    • If you are still having some issues, feel free to turn on ‘Assist Mode’ and ‘Puzzle Hints’. These options guide you toward your next objective and help you out if a puzzle stumps you. However, using this guide will provide you with an experience of the game that allows you to witness the story unfold without any intrusive UI. Plus you don’t have to fiddle with the options if you do get stuck.
    • The DAS and your Inventory chronicle your journey. Check them out for details or to jog your memory. Need to further jog your memory? Use your ‘Backlog’ by pressing ‘R’. It contains ALL of the game’s dialogue via a script. You can even play the voice clips, too!
    • It is possible to skip clue-gathering segments with only the knowledge of the puzzle solution.

Another Code: Recollection -Journey Into Lost Memories- Chapter 2: Matthew

Chat with Ryan, exhausting each and every one of your conversation topics. Talk to Ranger Dan. Walk forward to the ‘Near Campsite’ location, then walk forward for a scene. Talk to Tommy. Say “Sixteen”. Walk forward to the next area.

After the scenes, proceed forward to the next area. Go inside the nearby shack. Walk to the back of the building and use the rear exit. Examine the Well to your right. Go back inside the Abandoned Building. Walk towards the front room and examine the shelf. Check out the Helmet, and the box on the bottom right that contains a Flashlight and Batteries. Combine the items. The Helmet and Battery fail, but using the Flashlight and the Batteries works! Return to the well and use the Flashlight. Use the Snapped Rope on the tree next to the well.

After your extensive chat with Matthew If you choose “Making up stories’ then try to follow Matthew. Head back through the Abandoned House, Clock Tower Area, then walk forward and chat with Tommy. Continue down the path to the boat house to see a scene. Enter the boathouse by entering the right button combination.

Once in the boathouse, you can examine several items. Enter the white door to the right. Re-enter the boathouse and go into the door directly in front of you. Examine the Miscellaneous Things on the shelf. Grab the RC Boat on the bottom right. Go back out the white door of the boat house to the Pier and use the RC Boat on the lake. Use the ‘L’ stick to control the boat and snag the briefcase with the hook. Bring the briefcase back to you.

Examine the briefcase. Give the Combination Lock a look to gain a clue. Examine the Corkboard next to the Mounted Fish. Check out the newspaper clipping on the top left of the corkboard. Examine the other corkboard, giving extra attention to the Lotter Winners because it contains the answer to the Combination Lock. Input this number into the Combination Lock on the Briefcase.

After some scenes, select “Looking for my bag” and continue the conversation.
