San Diego Studio has officially revealed MLB The Show 24 and announced that the game will release on March 19, 2024. Further, they’ve also confirmed that the cover athlete will be Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
MLB The Show is a long-running series on the PlayStation that allows for players to take control of some of the best baseball teams in history. In the last few years, MLB The Show has released on other consoles such as the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Last year’s game, MLB The Show 23, had some of the most important features to date, such as the inclusion of cross-progression and more representation in the many teams players can control.
MLB The Show 24 Releasing in March, Details
A recent post on the PlayStation Blog from San Diego Studio officially unveiled MLB The Show 24. The game is available to pre-order now on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Nintendo eShop, and other local and online retailers. The standard edition will include the full game, 5 The Show packs, and 5,000 Stubs. The collector’s edition will be revealed on February 6. The game will release on March 16.
Further, they also revealed that Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will be the game’s cover athlete. The PlayStation Blog post details why they picked this specific athlete:

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is a great baseball player and embodies the sport’s best qualities, as fans saw during his Home Run Derby win last July. He loves the game, comes from a baseball family, and giving back to his community is very important. These factors and others made Vladimir Guerrero Jr. the right choice for this year’s cover athlete.
