Kiwi Walks announced turn-based RPG WitchSpring R will receive a new update featuring Hard Mode and New Game+ in February 2024 on PC via Steam. Fans can also expect a Nintendo Switch version of the game to launch in spring 2024.
Kiwi Walks released the PC version of WitchSpring R on September 26 with English language support. This past November, a Nintendo Switch version was revealed. Eventually, the Switch version will get new features that the PC version will receive in a new update.
WitchSpring R Hard Mode and New Game+ Update
The February 2024 update for WitchSpring R will feature Hard and Very Hard difficulty modes. Game balance and monster skill/pattern adjustments will be made to compensate for the new difficulty modes. Players may select one of these difficulties while starting a New Game+ playthrough as well. New Game+ inherits the save file and starts from chapter 1 with a skip tutorial feature. New equipment and monsters are exclusive to New Game+.
Moreover, Kiwi Walks confirms two new features will be added in the update. The “Story Enjoyment” feature will allow players to automatically advance dialogue after voice playback ends. A new Crafting Mastery feature will be added as well, allowing players to gain double items from crafting recovery potions/combat tools three times or more.
WitchSpring R for PC is now being directly handled by Kiwi Walks as an independent publisher. As a result, the post-content schedule will be adjusted to account for several complex tasks that need to be addressed. However, this doesn’t appear to affect the Nintendo Switch version. In fact, Kiwi Walks confirms the Switch version will be sold physically with a limited edition, which includes an artbook.
