Square Enix announced Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince surpassed one million copies sold worldwide. The game reached this milestone in just over a month’s time since its launch on December 1, 2023. will receive a major update soon with bug fixes. This new update will also have performance and stability improvements.
Released on December 1, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince tells the story of Psaro, a young man afflicted with a curse by his father, the king of monsters. He’s unable to directly hurt monsters, but his father-figure Monty trains him to become a monster wrangler in order to circumvent the curse.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince Sales Update
The official website for Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince now shows a new graphic, confirming that the game surpassed one million copies sold. These sales include digital copies sold and physical shipments worldwide for Nintendo Switch. Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince was especially popular in Japan, with copies often selling out last month.
Lastly, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince is now available for Nintendo Switch physically at retail and digitally worldwide. Digital purchases include the Head Start Set featuring, Stardust Earrings x1, Scholar’s Specs x1, and Bonus Ball x5. A free demo is available now with save data transfers into the full game.
