    Pokémon TV Will Be Discontinued in March 2024

    Delisted from various storefronts today.

    The Pokémon Company announced its Pokémon TV app and website will be discontinued and end service on March 28, 2024. Starting today, Pokémon fans will no longer be able to download the app from various digital storefronts. 

    The Pokémon TV website originally launched in November 2010 as free service that allows fans to watch select episodes of the anime series for free. An official application launched in February 2013, followed by the Nintendo Switch version in August 2021. The Nintendo Switch version of the app is short-lived, as service ends less than three years after its release.

    Pokémon TV Delisted Today and Discontinued Soon

    In a new press release, The Pokémon Company confirms Pokémon TV app and website will be discontinued on March 28. Fans may no longer download the application on Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku devices. Those who still have it installed may still continue to watch any available content until the deadline, however. 

    Although the app is ending service, The Pokémon Company reiterates that fans can still watch their favorite Pokémon content on a variety of platforms, including Netflix and YouTube. For example, fans may watch the Pokémon: Paldean Winds anime by WIT Studio on YouTube for free right now.

    Lastly, here’s the end of service notice from The Pokemon Company:

    Thank you to all our fans who have enjoyed Pokémon TV over the years. The Pokémon TV app and website will sunset and the service will end on March 28, 2024. Beginning on January 8, 2024, fans will no longer be able to download the Pokémon TV app from the App Store, Google Play, Roku Channel Store, Amazon Appstore, Nintendo eShop, and Pokemon.com.

    However, those who already had the app downloaded on their devices prior to January 8, 2024, will still be able to watch available content until the app fully sunsets on March 28, 2024.
