Hi-Fi Rush has officially been rated for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in Australia. This comes after multiple rumors broke over the weekend that Xbox was exploring bringing the title to the Nintendo Switch. It’s likely that a PS5 version is also in the works, though it will be playable on the system regardless with backwards compatibility.
The title was originally released for Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam last January through a surprise, out of nowhere release. Now, players across all systems will be able to experience the game. It’s a puzzling decision, considering Xbox is shifting to sell hardware, but we’ll most likely get clarity on the company’s future publishing strategy when this game is announced for PS4, Xbox One, and Switch.
The game was rated under the name Project2022A. It was initially rated on December 15, 2022. That’s an important date, as the game released after that date on January 26, 2023. This means that Switch, PS4, and Xbox One versions do exist, but it’s not necessarily a sign that they are coming soon. With all the rumors, however, it does seem likely the game will make its way to other systems.
Another game developed by id Software under the name Project 2023B was also rated. It’s unclear what this title is, but we’ll surely get news relatively soon as we do with most ratings.
