A new 8-minute ad for the new Kizumonogatari: Koyomi Vamp compilation film will air on New Year’s Day 2024 in Japan! The new ad will be the longest ad ever served on Japanese TV.
Kizumonogatari: Koyomi Vamp will debut on January 12 as a compilation of all three Kizumonogatari films. This trilogy includes Kizumonogatari Part 1: Tekketsu, Part 2: Nekketsu, and Part 3: Reiketsu. Before the premiere, fans can get a sneak peek by watching the ad.
Kizumonogatari: Koyomi Vamp 8-Minute Ad
In a press release, the Kizumonogatari: Koyomi Vamp staff state that the new 8-minute ad will be the longest ever shown on Japanese TV. It’s essentially a short anime, and fans in Japan may watch the ad at 6:00 p.m. on TV Tokyo. Fifteen minutes later, the ad will be uploaded to YouTube for fans to watch whenever they please.
Bakemonogatari anime series director Tatsuya Oishi directed the compilation film at the anime studio SHAFT. Akiyuki Simbo was the chief director, with Akio Watanabe and Hideyuki Morioka designing the characters. Yota Tsuruoka directed the sound composition, and Satoru Kousaki composed the music. The staff at SHAFT return to direct and release the compilation film.
Serving as a prequel to Bakemonogatari, Kizumonogatari is the third volume in the highly popular Monogatari book series by Nisioisin. In the novel, protagonist Koyomi Araragi meets a female vampire, Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade in a fateful encounter. The story tells of his journey back to a normal life after meeting her.
