The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki -Farewell, O Zemuria- will be an extremely important game in the Trails series, as it heads toward the “climax” covering the entire Zemuria continent. Many of the mysteries surrounding the series will be solved in The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki -Farewell, O Zemuria-, according to the combined January 2024 Famitsu issue (via Ryokutya2089).
Revealed as the Trails 20th anniversary game, The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki -Farewell, O Zemuria- will bring a “dramatic turn” for Trails. Specifically, the story leads players toward the prophesized “X Day,” which has been subtly teased through various Trails games.
The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki -Farewell O, Zemuria- Story, “Climax,” and Solving Trails Mysteries
According to the Famitsu excerpts reported by Hansuke21, the story of The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki -Farewell, O Zemuria- will take place directly after The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II -CRIMSON SiN-. Since the story is leading into the “climax” of Zemuria, Falcom decided to name the title “Kai no Kiseki.” Van Arkride and the Arkride Solutions Office will continue to be the central characters for the story of Kai no Kiseki. However, several important characters from across Zemuria will make an appearance.
Players will experience a story set within the midwestern part of Zemuria, so it will not be limited to Calvard. Moreover, the issue teases the identity of the woman with black hair from the preview images. Those who pay attention to the “setting, outfit, and subtitle” should have an idea, especially after playing the two Calvard games.
The Gralsritter will play a big role, and Bergard will appear early on in the story. The Famitsu issue doesn’t note if the preview screenshot of Bergard and Campanella is from an early story chapter, however. Lastly, the issue states Kai no Kiseki’s battle system will mostly be the same as Kuro no Kiseki II, but it will have some new elements.
