    Suika Game Christmas Update Now Available on Switch

    Celebrate with festive watermelons.

    Developer Aladdin X announced a new Christmas update is now available for their hit puzzle title on Nintendo Switch, Suika Game! The update brings Christmas-themed fruit and music to the game, allowing players to enjoy a festive theme with their tropical fruit. 

    Suika Game made its western debut on October 20, which is nearly two years after its Japanese release. The game’s English release already accrued well over one million copies sold, and the game has gone viral on social media and streaming platforms. To celebrate the holiday season, players can enjoy Suika Game with a festive twist.

    Suika Game’s latest update brings Christmas-themed fruit, backgrounds, and music to the game. Players may activate or deactivate the new theme by pressing the L and R buttons at the main menu. Moreover, Aladdin X confirmed that Suika Game surpassed over five million copies sold. The game reached this milestone back on December 13. 

    This past November, a sales earnings release from Aladdin X confirmed that Suika Game surpassed 4.4 million copies sold. Shortly after the launch in October, the game reached four million, and roughly 400,000 copies were sold in just a 72-hour timespan. The game will surely approach six million copies sold at the current pace in early 2024. 

    Nintendo held a Suika Game Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial, allowing subscribers to play the game for free from December 14 to 20. Those who participate in the game trial will complete a MyNintendo mission and earn 100 Platinum Points for free.
