Puyo Puyo Tetris Series Surpasses 3 Million Copies Sold

The ultimate puzzle collaboration breeds success.

SEGA announced the Puyo Puyo Tetris series has surpassed 3 million units sold worldwide. The milestone includes the sales of the original Puyo Puyo Tetris game and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2.

The Puyo Puyo Tetris games are touted as the ultimate arcade puzzle collaboration, and the original game was a surefire hit as an early release in the Nintendo Switch’s life. This success led to the development of Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, which released on December 8, 2020 for all major consoles. The PC release followed up just three months later on March 23, 2021.
