SEGA announced the Black Lagoon collaboration event is now live in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. In addition, the collaboration includes special login bonuses and a new Black Lagoon-themed Scratch Ticket, and players may celebrate the holiday season with other new events as well.
The Super Genesis Festival is underway in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis, celebrating the game’s 2.5 anniversary. Players may enjoy new Scratch Tickets, additional bonuses, limited-time events, and a catch-up campaign for new and returning players. The Black Lagoon collaboration is one of the festival’s most notable aspects.
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis x Black Lagoon Collab
The Black Lagoon collaboration event is now live with limited-time login bonuses, including exclusive Build Parts with vivid visuals. The Black Lagoon Style AC Scratch Ticket includes Revy, Roberta, Hansel, and Gretel avatar items, weapon camos, and additional cosmetics and accessories. Further, players who draw from the new Scratch Ticket may earn the Black Lagoon opening theme song “Red fraction” as a Scratch Count Bonus.
Alongside the Black Lagoon collab, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis players may enjoy limited-time Christmas events. Central City and Retem City is decorated for the occasion, and Reindeer Rappies and Saint Emperappies roam the world. Xitre dons her Christmas outfit as she opens her Seasonal Points Exchange Shop. Additionally, players may obtain various items, including new 9-star rarity weapons with special augments, by completing limited-time missions and tasks.
The Black Lagoon manga by Rei Hiroe began as a one-shot in April 2021 in Sunday GX is an original work. Nearly 23 years later, the manga has sold over 8.5 million copies in total, and two seasons of the anime were produced in 2006. Moreover, the third Black Lagoon OVA was produced as well, achieving great success for the franchise.
Lastly, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store, Windows, and Steam.
