Last Updated:

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince is the newest DQM game, and due to its modern release it includes a bevy of online features. Similar features were introduced to the series in the Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker games on Nintendo DS. Use these useful features to battle other players, get new items, and more!

How to Access Online Features

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince

You must first complete the first sections of the game, mostly tutorial and story introduction stuff. After you gain access to Rosehill Tower, Fizzy will be in the lobby. She is your key to accessing the game’s various online functions.

Online Battling

There are various online battle modes. You can battle normally with people online, do rapid-fire auto battles, and create tournaments. You can earn items and new monsters depending on how well you perform!

Online Shop

You can visit Fizzy every day to access this shop. Select ‘Browse New Items’ once per day to add new stock to the shop. This creates a permanent list of useful items to purchase, ranging from Talent Scrolls to Accessories. These cost your in-game Gold, so there’s no microtransactions!

Other

The last remaining features are quite simple and don’t offer anything particularly unique. You can access the eshop to view DLC, however, this can be done on a system level. Then lastly there is a Player ID function that just shows your Player ID Number.
