Nintendo has announced that the Sora amiibo for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will release on February 16, 2024. This is the final amiibo figure for SSBU, with Sora being the last DLC character for the game.
This announcement was made through Nintendo’s Twitter page. Currently, you can not pre-order this amiibo. However, this is expected to change very shortly based on previous amiibo announcements. For those unaware, this amiibo was announced at the September Nintendo Direct.
Sora Gets Release Date
Sora is from Kingdom Hearts, a collaborative series between Square Enix and Disney. He travels across the galaxy to different worlds, meeting Disney characters and assisting them. He travels alongside Donald and Goofy. Kingdom Hearts IV is currently in active development. Fans around the world anticipate the game very highly.
As for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the game was originally released in 2018. The biggest feature of the title is the inclusion of every character ever to appear in the series. Additionally, newcomers included characters asked for by fans for years, like King K. Rool, Ridley, and Simon Belmont from Castlevania.
There were two different DLC waves released for a total of eleven fighters. This included Joker from Persona 5, Hero from Dragon Quest, Banjo & Kazooie, Terry from Fatal Fury, Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Min Min from Arms, Steve from Minecraft, Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII, Pyra & Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Kazuya from Tekken, and Sora from Kingdom Hearts. All in all, this was a dream roster for many.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch family of systems. You can expect to purchase the game from the Nintendo eShop or retailers such as Best Buy, Amazon, or Target. Additionally, both Fighter’s Pass DLC bundles are available in the Nintendo eShop.
