Arc System Works have entered a capital alliance with AQURIA, the developer of CRYMACHINA, The Caligula Effect, and Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris. This partnership will allow Arc System Works to grow its development capabilities in a variety of ways.
Founded on January 8, 2002, AQURIA is a Yokohama-based development studio with an extensive background in turn-based RPGs and action RPGs. Nearly 20 years after its founding, the company is entering a strategic partnership that could help the company flourish even further.
Arc System Works and AQURIA Capital Alliance
The Arc System Works and AQURIA capital alliance allows Arc System Works to expand its development capabilities for upcoming games while sustaining the viability of its development structure. This alliance was formed as the industry demands higher quality and volume for global releases as development scale expands. Both companies will likely team up to create new games, including RPGs.
Arc System Works will strive to meet new challenges and produce high-quality works for its growing worldwide audience. Most notably, Arc System Works believes that AQURIA may provide useful development synergies that will help grow the capital in both companies. In other news, Arc System Works announced the Arc World Tour Finals 2023 tourney will be held on March 21 to 23, 2024. Leading into Arc World Tour Finals 2023, three qualifying tournaments will be held for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising at GBCS Cygames Cup Special, Kayane Cup, and Frosty Faustings in January and March 2024. A Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising last chance qualifier (LCQ) will also be held with registration opening in late January. Fans can also expect a side tournament for UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes.
Lastly, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising launches on December 13 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes launches January 25, 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
