During INDIE Live Expo Winter 2023, Meg’s Monster developer Odencat Games announced narrative adventure game Snowman Story is coming to PC via Steam on December 14. The game will be 20% off during its launch week on Steam as well.
Released in 2019 for Android and iOS, Snowman Story tells the tale of a snowman wanting to find a arctic paradise before spring arrives. The new Steam version brings the title to PC for the first time with some quality of life improvements.
Snowman Story For Steam
For $4.99, the new Steam version of Snowman Story adds several new features, including full controller support and a new landscape mode. The landscape mode is optimized for PC, allowing players to enjoy the title in 16:9 aspect ratio with higher resolutions. All previously released DLC from the mobile version is already included with the Steam release, too.
Each of Snowman Story’s characters will have additional voice effects for a more impressive story. Moreover, the English translation has been improved with a fully revised text that maintains the spirit of the original version. Odencat notes that its a “much more entertaining, heartwarming, and emotional experience.”

In Snowman Story, players take control of a snowman named Chris on a journey to find a fabled land far to the north—a paradise where it is said that his kind may be able to survive their inevitable fate of melting when spring arrives. Along the way, he’ll encounter a whole host of woodland critters who’ll guide him on his way and offer assistance with the game’s icy puzzle stages.
He’ll also follow in the footsteps of other fallen snowmen, each with their own tragic tale to tell of how they tried and failed to make the very same pilgrimage. By reading memories from their remains, and hearing their cautionary tales, Chris just might be able to avoid the same fate.
Lastly, Snowman Story is available now for Android and iOS. The Steam version launches on December 14 with a 20% discount.
