Square Enix announced Dragon Quest X Online: The Door to the Future and the Sleeping Girl, the game’s Version 7.0 expansion, will launch on March 21, 2024 in Japan. The expansion will be available across Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC.
This past August, Square Enix revealed the Dragon Quest X Online: The Door to the Future and the Sleeping Girl. As discussed with the initial announcement, the Version 7.0 expansion’s release will mark the end of support for the Wii U and 3DS versions of Dragon Quest X. Ahead of its launch, Square Enix revealed more details about what fans can expect in the new expansion.
Dragon Quest X Online Enters Version 7.0
Staring March 21 in Japan, players will have access to a brand-new story in Dragon Quest X Online: The Door to the Future and the Sleeping Girl. The expansion includes new characters such as Porte and Raki, the new Zenias area, and the Dragon Mage master class. Alongside the standalone release, Dragon Quest X Online All-In-One Package Version 1-7 will be sold physically featuring all of the game’s expansions. The bundle costs 5,940 yen for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam according to Square Enix.
On December 23, 3DS players will no longer be able to purchase Dragon Quest X Online vouchers that extend past March 20, 2024. Sales for tickets/vouchers will be discontinued on February 20 and February 21 for the 3DS and Wii U versions respectively. In the 3DS version, all sales of 10-day tickets and 3-day passes will end on March 11 and 18 respectively as well. Players may continue their Dragon Quest X Online journey on Nintendo Switch, PC, or PlayStation 4 by linking their ID to a Square Enix account. Characters will also be available once the link process is complete.
Finally, Dragon Quest X Online is available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, and PlayStation 4 in Japan.
