Bandai Namco revealed all-new playable character Reina for Tekken 8 in a brand-new gameplay trailer. Reina is a Japanese-born fighter that’s looking for an opponent to test her limit.
The Tekken 8 closed beta test was recently held from October 20 to October 23, allowing players to try out a significant portion of the launch roster in a online matches. News about Tekken 8 will be steady leading in the January 2024 launch, and Bandai Namco recently confirmed that the base roster’s final two characters would be revealed in November. Victor Chevalier is the 31st character for Tekken 8, and Reina is the 32nd and final character for the launch roster.
Reina Storms Into the Tekken 8 Launch Roster
Reina is a mysterious new fighter that appears to have a connection to the Mishima bloodline in Tekken 8. In the latest gameplay trailer, she may be seen fighting various members of the bloodline including Lars, Jin, and Kazuya. She’s adept in the Taido fighting style, but she also uses Mishima-style karate techniques like Wind God Fist and Spinning Demon. According to PlayStation Blog, Reina plays a vital role in the story mode of Tekken 8.

With Reina’s reveal, all 32 characters that will be available at launch have been revealed. Harada is considering crossover characters for Tekken 8, but these will be considered after the game’s launch.

Tekken 8 physical and digital pre-orders are now available with new Paul Phoenix avatar costumes as a special bonus. Players may earn exclusive Mokujin and Tetsujin avatar costumes by pre-ordering the PlayStation 5 version. The Deluxe Edition includes all standard items, the Kinjin Avatar skin, and the Playable Character Year 1 Pass. This pass includes four characters released after the game’s launch. Moreover, the Deluxe Edition includes a Gold Suit Pack of playable character costumes for all 32 characters.
Lastly, Tekken 8 launches January 26, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
