Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 4 Remake will come to Apple devices on December 20. It will be available on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, Macs with an M1 chip or later, and certain iPads. Pre-orders are available now on the App Store.
Capcom initially released Resident Evil 4 Remake on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on March 24. Critics and fans alike gave the game several rave reviews for being a faithful and exciting remake of the 2005 survival horror classic. Last month, Capcom released Resident Evil Village on Apple devices. RE4 Remake will be free-to-play on Apple devices for the first few hours of playtime. Afterward, it will require an in-app purchase.
Resident Evil 4 Remake on Apple Devices
Resident Evil 4 Remake is available now to pre-order on Apple’s App Store. A limited part of the base game will be free. Players must make an in-app purchase in order to play the rest of the game. In a press announcement, Capcom stated more information about the upcoming release:
Resident Evil 4 includes support for Universal Purchase and cross-progression between iPhone, iPad, and Mac, enabling players to enjoy the game at home or on-the-go and continue their save games across devices. The intense survival horror gameplay of Resident Evil 4 can be enjoyed on Apple devices with a variety of compatible controllers. The game also includes keyboard and mouse support for Mac and customizable touch controls for convenient portable play on iPhone and iPad.
Resident Evil 4 is made possible on Apple devices thanks to Capcom’s RE ENGINE and Apple silicon, including the A17 Pro chip on iPhone 15 Pro models, and Macs with M-series chips, such as the new MacBook Pro with the M3 family of chips and supercharged iMac with M3. Resident Evil 4 supports powerful features like MetalFX Upscaling to deliver impressive performance and incredibly responsive gameplay across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Lastly, Resident Evil 4 Remake will be available on certain Apple devices on December 20. The game is also available on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
