The staff of the upcoming spinoff film for the BLUELOCK franchise, titled Episode Nagi, have revealed more about the movie’s cast. The movie will premiere in Spring 2024.
Kodansha initially began serializing the manga in 2018. Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yūsuke Nomura’s series focuses on the Japanese Football (Soccer) Team trying to become the best in the world after finishing sixteenth in the 2018 World Cup. The anime adaptation is available on Crunchyroll, and the manga is available on Kodansha’s website.
BLUELOCK Episode Nagi Cast Details
On the film’s official website, the anime’s staff confirmed more members of the movie’s cast. The cast includes several returning and new members, including:
- Nobunaga Shimazaki as Seishirō Nagi
- Yūma Uchida as Reo Mikage
- Kazuyuki Okitsu as Zantetsu Tsurugi
- Kazuki Ura as Yoichi Isagi
- Tasuku Kaito as Meguru Bachira
- Yūki Ono as Rensuke Kunigami
- Sōma Saitō as Hyōma Chigiri
- Kouki Uchiyama as Rin Itoshi
- Hiroshi Kamiya as Jinpachi Ego
- Subaru Kimura as Ryō Nameoka
The upcoming movie will focus on the titular character Nagi Seishiro. Seishiro participates in the Japanese Football team’s BLUELOCK regiment, a training program designed to create the world’s greatest striker. The movie will also focus on Reo Mikage, another participant in the program who introduced Nagi to the sport. Kodansha describes the original series as follows:
