Kaguya-sama: Love is War and Oshi no Ko Getting New Novels

Aka Akasaka's most successful works get new entries.

Shueisha announced that Aka Akasaka’s Kaguya-sama: Love is War and Oshi no Ko series will receive new novels on November 17. These novels will contain stories that happen after notable portions of the manga series, so there will be slight spoilers ahead.

Akasaka began the Kaguya-sama: Love is War manga in Shueisha’s Miracle Jump magazine in May 2015. After the Kaguya-sama: Love is War series gained major steam worldwide, Akasaka launched the popular Oshi no Ko manga series with co-author Mengo Yokoyari. Oshi no Ko is still ongoing, and fans can expect new works for both of Akasaka’s franchises in the form of new novels.

New Kaguya-sama: Love is War and Oshi no Ko Novels

The new Tensaitachi no Renai Jinrosen / Literally: The Geniuses’ Love Werewolf War novel by Jūichirō Hitsujiyama will detail a story after Kaguya and Shirogane get together. A “war” over treasure begins on an island owned by the Fujiwaras.

Hajime Tanaka will write the new Oshi no Ko novel, which follows Ai Hoshino after she joins B-Komachi. Moreover, the new novel includes a side story involving Sarina and Goro before the events of the Oshi no Ko manga. The novel also includes a bonus story by Akasaka that was included with the advance screening of Oshi no Ko episode 1.

All 11 episodes of the Oshi no Ko anime are available to stream now on HIDIVE. Oshi no Ko Season 2 is currently in production, so fans may look forward to more episodes in the near future. New chapters of the Oshi no Ko manga release on Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. EDT.

Lastly, here’s an overview of the Oshi no Ko series, via Manga Plus:

The amazing Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari team up to depict the world of showbiz from a completely new perspective in this shocking series!
