PLAYISM and FYQD-Studio announced mod support for the PC (Steam) version of Bright Memory: Infinite is now available with a free update. The new update also brings optimizations for the game’s Perspective-assist Mode.
This past January, Bright Memory: Infinite celebrated the Chinese New Year with a major update featuring a cel-shading feature and various optimizations. Minor updates were released in subsequent months, but one of the game’s largest updates has arrived today.
Bright Memory: Infinite Mod Support on Steam
The new Steam update for Bright Memory: Infinite brings mod support to the PC version. Players will now be able to replace Sheila, the in-game protagonist, with any model they want. Models may be shared on the Steam Workshop for other players to download, and PLAYISM released an official guide about how mods may be implemented. Moreover, PLAYISM confirms that weapon models may be swapped out as well. There are no plans for mod support on the GOG, Microsoft Store, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S versions, however.
Furthermore, the new update brings optimizations to the Perspective-assist Mode. According to PLAYISM, aiming while playing the game in third-person will now be over-the-shoulder instead of going into first-person. New effects and tweaks have been made to various animations, and PLAYISM boasts that the game is now easier to play.
Alongside the update, Bright Memory: Infinite will be on sale on Steam at 40% off until October 29. The sale brings the game’s price down to $11.99. Lastly, here’s an overview of the game’s story and gameplay via the official Steam page:
