Koei Tecmo and Gust announced Sophie Neuenmuller and Plachta from the Atelier Sophie games are coming to Akatsuki Games-developed mobile RPG Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy & the Liberator of Polar Night. These two characters will join Resna and Valeria on their journey.
Atelier Resleriana is a new RPG that faithful adapts the core Atelier gameplay and features into an exciting mobile title. The story is told through the perspective of dual main protagonists Resna and Valeria. These protagonists are joined by heroes from previous Atelier games such as Ryza, Marie, and Firis.
Atelier Resleriana Adding Sophie and Plachta
The official Twitter account for Atelier Resleriana shared profiles for Sophie and Plachta to introduce them before they join the game’s roster. Sophie voice actress Yūka Aisaka and Plachta voice actress Yuka Iguchi both return to reprise their roles. Soon, Atelier Resleriana players in Japan will be able to recruit these characters to their party.
Sophie is the protagonist of Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book and Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream. She has the desire to help people with the art of alchemy, and she has an adventurous spirit. However, she’s a little careless and untidy in her personal life.
Sophie is joined by Plachta, an alchemist that was turned into a book nearly 500 years ago in the world of Atelier Sophie. Plachta lost her memories, but Sophie learns new recipes and adds it to the book, helping her regain her memories. Eventually, Plachta’s soul is moved to a doll body, allowing her to live a human-like life once more.
Lastly, Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream, the latest entry in the Atelier Sophie series, is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy & the Liberator of Polar Night is available now in Japan for Android and iOS. A PC (Steam) version is coming soon, and a worldwide release has not been announced.
